Pollie Barnet Johnson is the Founding Pastor of Resurrection Life Family Ministries. She answered the call to preach the Gospel in May 1985 and received her license to preach in March 1992. She was later ordained April 23, 1993 by Pastor Alvin A. Francios of Belfair Baptist Church.
While many refer to her as "Pastor Pollie" she is also known for her service as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
She is a graduate of Tuskegee University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She earned a MA in counseling from LSU and served as Louisiana State Department of Education Substance Abuse Prevention Education coordinator for Ascension, Assumption, St. James and St. Johns parish schools.
1983 to 1996 Pastor Pollie served as a sponsor for Belair Youth For Christ and sponsored a radio broadcast called "Straight Talk For Teens". She continues to serve through various professional and community organizations.
She is the wife of Samuel J. Johnson and the mother of 3 daughters, Cynthia, System Engineer; Clarissa, Pediatric Hematology Specialist; Major Coretta Gray, Esq. and former JAG Officer in the USAF.
